The service was awesome! Fast and friendly :) Felt like family!! They made our first trip to the Frio fantastic! Shout out to Ms. Josie and Lola! The BEST bus driver and bus ever! You made our trip unforgettable! We will be back! - Jennifer Smith |
We rent our tubes from Andy and use his shuttle bus service for drop off and pick up. We never have to wait very long for the bus, even on busy holiday weekends like Memorial Day. Andy & his support staff are friendly & helpful. We will be back.- Lance Wenmohs |
It's OBVIOUS but...
The Frio Flows ONE way.If you decide to just rent a tube and float, make sure you have a car at your get-out point. You will need to plan and scout well in advance…and then likely pay for parking. All the property not located at public crossings is privately owned and protected. It’s easier to just rent and ride with Andy’s.

On Mother Nature's Timeline
The Frio River FloatOur short and long floats have about an average of 3 hours for the short and 4 hours for the long. We do our best to hit our pick-up locations at least once every 15-30 mins. Our shuttle does stop at 7pm…which means our last float departs Andy’s at 3pm to give EVERY tuber plenty of time to meet us at the last pick up of the day.

Floating Requires FlowWe have good days and bad days to float on the Frio. We do our best to stay on top of the flow rate and keep every guest of Andy’s aware of what they can expect on their float on any given day. However we cannot control the rainfall or the flow rate. Don’t know what the flow looks like, just ask us! Or you can look it up here!

Frequently Asked Questions about Floating the Frio.
The banks of the Frio River are Private Property. This is why you need to have a designated “get-in” and “get-out” location when you float the Frio. Swimming and floating is open to everyone. But, please do not trespass on our neighbors' property unless it is an emergency. The only public entrances or exits are at public road crossings.
