Andy and Tate
As a boy I traveled from my hometown of Goldthwaite, TX to visit the Frio River on vacation with my family. Many wonderful memories were made jumping out of trees and off of rope swings...looking for "treasure" that someone else might have lost...fishing for those elusive big bass, and making smores around a campfire. Whether the family was camping or staying in a cabin or house, we were always able to enjoy the beautiful creation that is the Frio River.
I moved to Concan in 2002. After purchasing the property that is now Andy's on River Road, I began pouring my heart into creating a business that would help other families enjoy the same beautiful area of Texas that my family had enjoyed for years. With the help of my wonderful family and friends, and lots of sweat and tears, Andy's has been able to survive and thrive through floods and droughts, good times and bad.
On February 19th, 2014, I had the greatest blessing in my life join me in this crazy life. Tate Lee Beard is a wonderful blessing, and I look forward to all the good times we will have together. I love you Tate more than anything in the world.
Andy's on River Road Family
We have been blessed to work with some wonderful people over the years. Ron and Nell Hoffer have worked at Andy's on River Road since 2008. I can honestly say that Andy's would not be the same without them. If you've called and spoken with a super sweet lady, it was most likely Nell. If you've needed help airing a tube or with directions, Ron has always been a go-to guy. I can't thank them enough for all of the help and wonderful memories.
Andy's on River Road has employed many many dozens of young people from around the county and state since 2002. Whether in High School or College, Andy's is a pretty fun place to work during your summer break. I've thoroughly enjoyed working with all of these young men and women and thank them for the efforts they've made to make Andy's on River Road a wonderful place to do business.
